Questions about PALS?

Is PALS training only for healthcare professionals who work in pediatrics?

While PALS is primarily designed for healthcare professionals who care for pediatric patients, it can be valuable for any healthcare provider who may encounter pediatric emergencies.

How often should I renew my PALS certification?

PALS certifications typically need to be renewed every two years. It is important to check with the specific training provider for their renewal requirements.

What equipment is typically used in PALS scenarios?

PALS scenarios may involve the use of specialized pediatric equipment, including pediatric-sized defibrillator pads, airway devices, and medication dosages appropriate for pediatric patients.

Can PALS training help with non-emergency pediatric care?

Yes, PALS training provides healthcare professionals with valuable skills and knowledge that can be applied in various pediatric healthcare settings, not just during emergencies.

Can I take PALS and ACLS courses concurrently?

Because of how dense the material is, we do not offer these full-length classes together or back-to-back.

If you are needing your certs fast and don’t have time to come in two different days, we suggest completing the online versions and then setting up back-to-back skill sessions.

How does PALS training differ from ACLS training?

PALS focuses specifically on the unique aspects of pediatric resuscitation, while ACLS (Adult Advanced Life Support) is designed for adults. Both courses cover advanced life support techniques but cater to different age groups.
