About Us
Locally Owned. Instructor-Led
First Rescue CPR is a family-owned training center serving Skagit Valley and the surrounding communities.
With years of experience in the classroom, we’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and what often gets lost in high-volume, corporate training models. Our approach prioritizes quality and accountability over speed and scale.
We believe training should be built around clear instruction, led by experienced instructors, and focused on preparing people for real situations. By investing in quality teaching and staying rooted in this community, our goal is to help strengthen safety in local workplaces, schools, and homes throughout Skagit Valley.
If you're dreading your next CPR class, you're not alone.
Many people arrive at their CPR training already on edge. Concerned about making mistakes, hesitant to ask questions, or frustrated by past classes that felt rushed, disorganized, or ineffective.
Maybe you have been there before.
An instructor more interested in telling war stories than teaching.
A room full of people quietly guessing their way through skills.
A test at the end that you pass, but leaves you thinking, I am not sure I could actually do this.
That is not a confidence problem. That is a teaching problem.
I became an instructor over a decade ago because I struggled in those environments too. I do not learn well when things are disorganized, rushed, or focused on checking boxes instead of building understanding…and I knew I was not the only one.
First Rescue CPR was built for people like us.
We keep things clear, calm, and hands on. We slow down when it matters. We explain the why, not just the steps. No pressure, no intimidation, just real instruction that actually sticks.
Our goal is simple.
When you leave, you should not just have a card.
You should feel capable.
Real skills. Real confidence. Real readiness.
